PT Taman Resor Internet (Tamarin), one of Citramas Group subsidiary held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, June 8th 2017 as a symbol to start the construction of Nongsa Digital Park (NDP) which is an integrated digital park with IT offices, a start-up incubator, data center, and resorts. It will be built on an area of 60 hectares out of a total land area of 180 hectares, NDP is expected to become a hub for the digital economy and tourism in the Riau Islands. Other surrounding areas that are part of the area such as Infinite Studios (Kinema Film & Animation Studios), Turi Beach Resort, Nongsa Point Marina, Nongsa Village, Nongsapura Ferry Terminal, and Tamarin Golf Course.
The construction of the first phase consists of 3 units of digital offices that will be destined for digital start-up both domestically and abroad, and become an incubator for generating young Indonesian technopreneurs to be able to take part in the International Digital Network. In 2020, there will be three other co-working space building that is expected to accommodate up to 700 people, along with the Apple Developer Academy building which the class for its 2nd batch will begin on March 2020. President Joko Widodo expects 1,000 technopreneurs in 2020.a
